Gigasept Instru AF 2L – Simple and Effective Instrument Disinfection
Safe and Powerful Disinfection
Gigasept Instru AF is a concentrated disinfectant and cleaning agent for manual disinfection of medical instruments. It is aldehyde-free and especially suitable for temperature-sensitive materials. The product can also be used in ultrasonic baths and has documented efficacy against bacteria, fungi, and viruses, including HIV, HBV, and HCV.
Usage:
Gigasept Instru AF is diluted with water before use and is effective for both surfaces and instruments.
- For surfaces: 2% solution (2cl per liter), contact time 5 minutes.
- For instrument disinfection: 3% solution, contact time 15 minutes.
- In ultrasonic bath: 3% solution, contact time 5 minutes.
- Against Adenovirus and Papova SV40 virus: 4% solution, contact time 60 minutes.
After disinfection, instruments should be rinsed thoroughly with water.
Properties:
- Effective against bacteria, fungi, and viruses – including HIV, HBV, and HCV.
- Aldehyde-free formulation – gentle for both users and instruments.
- Can be used in ultrasonic baths – enhances cleaning effect.
- Working solution remains effective for up to 7 days.
Material Compatibility:
Gigasept Instru AF is suitable for most materials, such as metal, glass, plastic, rubber, and porcelain. However, caution should be exercised when using on polycarbonate (PC). Not intended for flexible or bendable endoscopes.
pH Value:
- Concentrate: approx. 9.3
- Working solution: approx. 8.5
Contents:
- 14 g Cocospropylendiaminoguanidindiacetate
- 35 g Phenoxypropanol
- 2.5 g Myristalkonium chloride
- Nonionic surfactants, solvents, pH regulators, corrosion inhibitors, and colorants.
Handling and Safety:
- Corrosive – protect eyes and skin.
- In case of eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
- In case of nausea or accident: Seek medical attention and show product label.
Storage and Shelf Life:
- Resistant to temperatures down to -2°C. If the product freezes, thaw and shake the container.
- The concentrate has a shelf life of at least 2 years.
