Effective wound dressing for infected wounds and fungal infections

Sorbact Tamponade is a sterile, bacteria- and fungus-binding wound dressing based on Sorbact technology. It is designed to prevent and treat wound infections as well as facilitate the wound healing process. The dressing is especially suitable for use in wound cavities, fistulas, and can also be placed in skin folds to treat fungal infections (intertrigo).

Usage

1. Preparation: Clean the wound and surrounding skin according to current clinical practice.
2. Application: Choose an appropriate size of the dressing. If necessary, cut the dressing to the desired length using sterile technique. Place the dressing in direct contact with the entire wound surface. When used in wound cavities or fistulas, avoid packing the dressing too tightly and always leave a part outside for easy removal.
3. Fixation: Apply a suitable secondary dressing to absorb wound exudate and protect the wound.
4. Changes: Change the dressing based on the amount of wound fluid and the condition of the wound. If the clinical condition allows, the dressing can remain in place for up to seven days.

Use for athlete's foot between toes

Sorbact Tamponade can be effectively used for treating athlete's foot between toes. For best results:

1. Preparation: Clean and dry the area thoroughly before application.
2. Application: Place the tamponade zig-zag between the toes.
3. Fixation: Secure the ends on top of the foot dorsum with skin tape to keep the tamponade in place.
4. Change: Change the tamponade daily or as needed until the skin is fully restored.

The bacteria- and fungus-binding technology helps reduce the fungal infection and creates a dry and favorable environment for healing.
